Yankees Win World Series, Matsui First Japanese MVP

I'm sure everybody and their dog already knows this but the Yankees won their 27th World Series Championship title against the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday night and homerun hitter Hideki "Godzilla" Matsui won the prestigious title of MVP of the series, the first Japanese native to do so. Here's to the Yankees and to Matsui! You guys are awesome! Kampai! (Cheers!)

Japan Series Game 3

The Yomiuri Giants beat the Nippon Ham Fighters in game three of the Japan Series Last night 7-4 making the series 2-1 in favor of the Giants. Also, and kind of randomly, former U.S. President George W. Bush threw out the ceremonial first pitch of the game, only the second to do so at a professional Japanese baseball game, the first being Ronald Reagan. I suppose he's got to do something with his time nowadays. Maybe a career in professional baseball is just around the corner? Oh wait, he bounced it. *face palm*
